Yeah I did not realize originally it was fake until it came up years ago. Funny thing is I've basically done the same in UO but for real. It was always a going joke in my guild. "don't pull off a Leroy Jenkins this time!". Man I miss those days. That game is still going but it's just not the same anymore. I even played on the official servers a few times and was in one of the biggest guilds but actually got bored. Some moments just can't be recreated.

I actually never imagined it was fake until now, having enough PUG experience and even just disaster guild runs in various games that this clip was absolutely entirely likely to have happened, countless times.

That video just happened to be a hilarious setup for something that had been happening both by accident and on purpose since the game was new a year prior.

People did the same thing in the whelp caves on the Onyxia 'world boss' dragon 40-man raid. Run through and pop all the whelp eggs who would then swarm the healers or high-threat dps. It could be hilarious when it was intentional, or frustrating when someone was just being a dumbass and not paying attention or having situational awareness, heh.

I quit playing probably a decade ago or more, but it seems crazy to me, knowing the game is now 20 years old.
