Maybe one day everyone will realize that raw power is not the way to go. Don't flame me cause I use a lot of video cards and tend to like PVR and ATI the best but the fact is PowerVR S3 chip that was use by ST for the Kyro II was a good example of what advance tech that was not raw power could do. I dun know about some of you but I will never put blow tourch in my computer no matter how great in in GFX speed it can be. Just my opinion 🙂 -

anything you put in the first PCI slot would be blown out of the case

i think the point is that youre not supposed to make a video card that takes up two slots in the first place.
 
If Nvidia continues just as great s they are, soon they're video cards will come in a full atx tower case with its own mobo and cpu, lol.
 
LOL, why do people still even consider this chipset? The R9700 Pro basically matches performance, is cheaper and hands down wins in the video playback department! A pixel shader video codec is available (DX9) that makes video playback shine with this card.

Anyone else remember the Genius' scoffing at the notion of putting 8MB of memory on a video card.....

You'd think most of the authors in this thread would like fans..... get it?
