OMG, this is a GREAT accident! *PIC*

The title is really misleading. "OMG.... bad accident!"

It was not a bad accident. I read about this when it happened and nobody was hurt. The truck wasn't even badly damaged. They rescued the guy and pulled the truck up. It'll need some body work but that's about it... it's still driveable. Not a bad accident.

I thought you were takin pics of someones bad accident outside your home and posting them on the internet at the same time!

and this picture is not new.

Actually, IMO, if what Matshallj posted is accurate, then it is. Noone was seriously injured, and the world got a hilarious picture, suitable for making many a joke. 🙂

Looks photochopped to me.

The boat has to weigh a lot less than the truck, or it wouldn't float.
The boat itself is leaning several feet off the edge, its center of gravity is pretty close to that edge.
There's no way it would stay balanced like that.unless the road is actually tilted away from the cliff making the cliff look steeper than it is due to an odd angle. And the people standing around that don't look like they are leaning towards the ledge debunks that theory. For the picture to be un-photochopped with the boat in that position it would have to be an action shot, where the boat goes over the cliff within the next couple seconds.

Also the children on the right side of the pic don't have shadows at the angle that everything else does. And consider the position of the "photographer".

An aircraft carrier probably weighs a bit more than the truck and they float just fine. 🙂

Maybe the trailer was hooked on the rocks and helped it stay in place. A grappling hook rarely weighs as much as the person using it....

It is not photoshopped. I remember seeing this on the news.

That's just ridiculous, I never meant it like that.

No accident is good, but an accident where no one is hurt and the equipment is still usable would not be called a "bad" accident.

The weight of an object has no bearing on whether or not it floats.

Well, to be more accurate, the weight of the object relative to the weight of water it displaces depends on whether it can float.
