Again, I have no A/C in the apartment and I have yet to get the fans from Home Depot. So here I am in bed with the window open, and what do you suppose happens? Its bad enough that I'm 2 miles from the airport but at night we don't have any flights. But then the hospital is right next door, and the heliport faces my window (its on about the same plane as well since I'm high up.)

So here I am in bed when all of a sudden I hear this jet engine whine power-up. Don't get me wrong, it sounded really sweet (until the rotors drowned it out) but HOW THE FVCK AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP GAWDDAMMIT??? :|

I hope whoever's getting picked up in the chopper lives.

I always wonder about that...if you're very very poor. And got into an accident that you caused, forcing them to airlift you to a hositpal and performed expensive surgeries. Who's going to foot the bill if you can't afford it?

From what I heard, medical bills are one of the leading causes of bankruptcy.

One of my uncles was airlifted out of a hayfield one time, after a farming accident... the pastor of the chuch where he was a member told us not to worry about the bill for the MedFlight (or whatever they called it), and that they would take care of the bill.... I have no idea how that church did it, but the congregation took care of the flight, and they helped with the back surgery that he had to have.

Had the church not helped, the family would have been bankrupt... they were close to it anyway.
