OMG THE SOX WON

The White Sox that is 😉. 14-2. WTF happened there?

EDIT: White Sox again 5-4!!

EDIT #2: Buh bye Red Sox 😛

EDIT #3 The White Sox that is. 😉

Angels 3, Sox 2

Angels up 1-0 in the series.

EDIT #4: How the fsck did that home plate umpire miss that? :|

Yea the Red Sox really sucked today. I kinda saw this coming. Clement has really been terrible for the past few months, since he was beaned.

There's always tomorrow. 🙂

Bo Sox are a shadowing of what they were last year. Their pitching is quite subpar; both starters and bullpen. Jose Contreras is the hottest pitcher in the A.L. right now. No big surprise here.

I guess the wildcard rule didn't affect the 1997 (Marlins), 2002 (Angels 🙁), 2003 (Marlins), 2004 (Red Sox) Champions who were all wildcard winners.

Exactly, The wildcard rule is a joke whereby teams who could not finish first in a 5 team division somehow claim the name "world champion" by having a hot month.

What about when the wildcard winners have better records than most of those other division winners?

Aren't all WS champions teams that had a hot month (October)? So I guess in that case, we shouldn't even have playoffs, we should just award the championship to the best record in baseball.

Even though I am a cubbies fan, I guess I have to root for the socks now! White Sox that is 🙂 But really, it makes no difference to me - just more or less congestion and all in the city.

Your thread title is just like what they say on the radio. When a team scores, they say "and the sox take the lead". Gee, thanks guys, WHICH FREAKING SOX????????? BTW, I am an avid baseball fan (go Red Sox) and know which team has scored. However, I feel that since both teams are Sox, they should refrain from saying the sox have taken the lead.

hahah sore loser and dont worry the Sox will win again...in 80+ years

I know the real deal...see the RS were the comeback or most amazing team of the year last season by clinching the W Championship in such an amazing ...so they are just figuring out a way to out do that maneuver/manure 😛

the funny thing is that the white sox had been on a 1 year longer draught than the red sox (1917 v. 1918) and yet no one ever makes anything about the white sox. just goes to show, boston fans are the worst.

maybe it's the curse of the black sox?

wtf the cubs used to be the chicago white stockings?

That's because the White Sox earned their curse.
Boston just traded their way into one.
