So I was archiving some older files on my HD over the weekend, and I came across a group report I had done for my Intro to Marketing final project in the summer of '99. Our project was to analyze any automaker's product and make recommendations to improve sales. At the time, two of my groupmates drove Nissans so we picked Nissan. They were having some tough times (I believe this was pre-Renault.) So we decided to analyze the Altima and make recommendations for the next generation car. Our conclusions were that the Altima should be made bigger in order to compete with Accord and Camry, it should get the same V6 that the Maxima has, and that Maxima should be made a pure enthusiast's car (pure sports car) in order to differentiate it from the new Altima. We actually forwarded a copy of our report to Nissan. I never thought of our report since, but it looks like Nissan listened!!!
