^^^

If anyone pulled this crap on me you can bet they would either catch a beating or be held fiscally responsible for any damages.

We'd do that as well as tape and/or glue polaroid photos of this one fellas deuce he took after eating around a half gallon of this utterly vile chili they'd serve in the cafeteria.

Ahh the good old days. We thought we were so clever.

The deuce photo thing continued for several months but the penny locking thing got a few of us in some trouble so that only happened once. She crawled out her window and called the campus police. =(

No. The kid wouldn't have been able to live there the rest of the quarter and thats beyond a prank for someone who did nothing to you.

A kid in my dorm has a little bit of milk in his fridge spill and sit over break in his fridge. His room stank for a month, hallway for several weeks. And he did everything to get it out.

Yep.

Also what Kelvrick said.

Exactly. You're just kind of a dipshit for doing this. OH LOOK THINGS GOT WET LOLOLOL.

Toolbag. I'd break into your dorm and throw all of your sh!t out the window if you did that to me... because my computer was right next to my door.
Re read the original post, I did not do this, I only saw the aftermath. I didn't even know about it before it happened.

You certainly seem to support it.

That old one. At least it wasn't what I first thought when I saw 'trashcan full of water'. For some reason it was popular to fill up a trashcan with water, then throw in a bag of ice and dump it over whoever was taking a shower. My room was right across the hall from the restroom, got to where I could tell who got it from the sound of the howl.

As for penny locking your RA - my guys tried to do that to me once. Heard them standing in the hallway laughing as the knock came. Sure was funny to see the looks on their faces when I opened the door "Hey Heath, Travis. Adam, what's up?" If you take some steps to smooth and lubricate the contact surface of the strike plate it's still possible to turn the handle. All a matter of friction.

We had a couple we did last year

#1 put a wall of paper over the door of a guy's room and filled the space between the door and paper with packaging peanuts (last pic of that one is the Housefellow in the middle being cool with it :))

#2 I found a room full of pillows in the basement so we brought them upstairs and filled a room with them.

Here's some pics for you :)

I'll explain it only so I can advise not to penny above the door latch.

What you do is press your foot against the botom of the door - door warps inward, a lot of pressure is put on the latch. Just try this on your own door, press in at the bottom and see how much harder it is to turn the latch - enough pressure and you won't be able to turn it.

Penny part is next, you take a stack of pennies - 3-8 depending on where you put them and how much the door flexes - and push them into the gap created by the flexing door. At this point you knock and then laugh as the person inside gets mad.

While with some doors you can get even more pressure by putting pennies in above the lock as well as below I urge you not to. The way the pennies are released is to press harder than the door was pressed before - sometimes takes a good kick to dislodge them. If you do this above the lock the person trying to release the captive can easily make the situation worse as gravity lets the pennies drop in further as they press.

Not to go overboard about safety "what if there's a fire" (though you do have the person trapped which is why you shouldn't walk off and leave them), making it harder to release the captive increases the liklihood of maintenance staff or campus police being called.

Biggest prank I've seen (did not participate in):

Couple guys took EVERY SINGLE item in a dorm and put all of it in the showers. So these guys came back from a bar or wherever, and their room was totally empty.

That's a pretty lame prank. If you think it's the 'best college prank', you need to get out a little!

Penny a door, saran wrap the door, fill a room w/ styrofoam peanuts, pour ice cold water on someone while in the shower, sleeping w/ your roommate's girlfriend....now those are all better pranks ;) ....those are just off the top of my head

a couple of semesters in my dorm, we zip tied my friends room.

to elaborate more:

we used 1000 zip ties to tie everything down. we even suspended the bottom bunk mattress from the top bunk, so it was floating in the air.

all of his clothes on hangers were connected, all his shoes were zip tied to each other. the mouse was ziptied to the keyboard to the desklamp.

anything that could have a zip tie go on it had one.

and as the final FU -- we zip tied his scissors to a bunch of other things.

in the end he had to use nail clippers to get the scissors loose... we were sloppy and missed those...

... pictures to come, i have to find them.

that's pretty funny

BTW, some people like myself carry around swiss army knives so you wouldn't have won completely. Still funny.

Hmm, that's terrible. OMG it will be the best college prank when there's mold everywhere. How about we pour some water into your computer and whatever other electronics you have in your room and we can sit around and LOL about it.

If anyone did that to me and I knew who they were, I wouldn't say anything to them but their cars...oh their cars would feel some pain.
Forget keying, I'll go to home depot and find something with as many jagged edges as possible and a nice rubber grip. And some steel toed boots to improve upon the paint damage.

And that's if there's security cameras in your parking lots. Now, if you don't then heck, I'll just smash your window, pop your hood, pour sugar into your motor oil, maybe drain the antifreeze, then shut that baby back up. Can't wait to see the engine fire that ensues.
Even if their car had an alarm this would be really quite easy to pull off without getting caught, since you can disable 99% of alarms by simply popping the hood and disconnecting the battery, and I'd have to pop the hood to screw with the motor oil anyway.

The things someone can do to get you back if you own a car are nearly endless...plus it won't even be covered under your insurance if it was a skillful job, since your insurance doesn't usually cover your engine overheating and getting caramelized hahaha.

There's a lot more you could do of course, from purposely leaning out their gas so the engine detonates like mad (which I suppose combined with a leaking radiator and sugar in the motor oil would kill the engine really really really fast), to draining your brake fliuid, to cutting your brake line, to...well pretty much anything really.

So some kids decided to pull a prank. There's this one kid in my hall who is nearly always stoned, so they picked him as the victim.

What they did was take a 50 or so gallon trash can from the recycling room, and fill it with water. After this, the brought it out, and carefully leaned it against his door. Once they did that, they knocked on his door, and ran. He opened the door, and all you could hear was "whoooosssssshhhhhh", and many expletives coming out of the victims mouth.

After this happened we had a puddle of water in the hallway, and his room was soaked. Because of wonderful dorm construction, under the carpet is concrete, so that water will be sitting for a while.

We were all standing on the other side of the hallway talking and we happened to be near the RA's room. She came out looking like we woke her up. We were all thinking "Shit, she's gonna see what happened" but she just told us to go to the lounge to talk, and she went back in her room.

The great thing is since he is stoned, he isn't picking a fight with the people that did it. I know if I had that done to me, I would have severely beaten the kid that did that.

Here are the pics. I only have ones of the hallway, and the inside of his room after he TP'd the ground to attempt to soak it up.

Has anyone else noticed that people who pulled pranks sound like jerks and assh0les?

Real slick.

You commited a crime (Vandalism), admitted to it openly on a public forum, took pictures (more evidence) and brag about your prank that caused property damage? Nice. Sounds like someone I'd put on a DNTL too.
