You'll notice that 2001 was the first model year. You'll also notice that the USED price is more than $35k. Therefore they couldn't have been 35k new.

Edit: Never mind, we both posted links to the LS430. The LS400 existed back as far as 1990, although I can't find any info on how much they cost then.

Funny you post this, since we are on the look out for LS400. We want a used LS400, but the more reasonable choice is a used Camry. They still bring a good price those LS400s. A 95 is like $19k CDN.
