Get the Nalu Demo if you wanna see one pretty model in an empty world.

Or watch the Unreal Engine 3 demo at 15fps on an im sure GODLY 6800 UE based system :p

Good textures will always be > high polygon counts.

Are you referring to HL2?

No offense, but please stop saying "Teh" :(

WHAT?!?!?!!?!? "teh" is teh R0xor5!!!! and 50 15 teh d00m3

on a serious note this game looks amazing. My GF is even down with driving with me the 45 miles to the closest store to pick my preorder on the 3rd w00t!!!

I've been a member of the SA forums where that crap originated with the Jeff K gimmick in 2000/2001 and it has been run into the ground like nothing I've seen on the internet before, except all your base which also came from there. T_T

Just to set the record straight, AIB came from Zero Wing, and the first internet page to find that humorous was the Overclock Remix page, on an emulation-related site.

Well, the Alpha *DID* run with my 32mb GF2 GTS-V, but I'm not sure how many people will be willing to play this game with something this slow (or butt ugly).

I'll be running it on my laptop with a 32mb GeForce4 440 Go

Supposedly the game can run on a GF2 MX without serious issues. I find it difficult to believe but thats what they say. Long as you're not expecting super resolutions or pretty effects, I don't see why it wouldn't run.

zip file of the scan

Err, actually that's a scan of the PC Gamer (German) review. This thread is about a NEW review in an Austrailian gaming mag (PC PowerPlay). Supposedly it gets more in-depth than the PC Gamer review, and is of course in English (helpful to most of the readers here). Unfortunately I haven't been able to find screenies of it because of the exceeded bandwidth issue. Anyone got a link to the correct review?

"Teh" is a word

Deliberate typo error of "The". Used in online gaming discussion.

Is this not online gaming discussion? Yah.

Err, I wouldn't exactly call the Urban Dictionary a meaningful source. Try to find "teh" (as anything but a proper name) in the OED or even Websters..

That said, I like "teh" :D Don't anyone be with teh stop!!!!!!11111oneoneone

Except it wasn't an insult, Zebo, it was teh request. :p Apophis went with the sugar rather than the stick. I guess you would've preferred he say something like this?

"B@#$h, stop saying "teh" because it's old. Also, I'm you're father. Suck it down!"

Hmmm? :)

Anita, I think you'll be stretching the meaning of "playable" with that video card, but you've got nothing to lose by waiting for a benchmark or the demo. I'd imagine the CPU attached to that video card isn't that hot, either...?

Well, the thing is, I have a P4-2.8, but since my ASUS v7700 Deluxe was such a great card, I never upgraded it...
