Help me someone!!!!! I just cleaned out my computer ( i have done it before and it has always been fine) and now it keeps freezing in boot up, and i am due to sell it in 3 days time!!

I used an anti-static sleeve when i touched any hardware in the computer and only really touched the heatsink and fan for the CPU and the video card which i didnt actually touch with my hands. When it boots up it recognises everything and it fine but soetime during startup it just freezes!!!!

can someone please help me. I'm in my final yr of schoool and really dont need this happening right now  and if its broken my friennd qwont buy it which means that i wont have enough money for my new pc which means im boned!!

Relax, it's only a comercial!

Try reinstalling everything again, you might have just had an unlucky install of windows. You might get the same effect by repairing the installation but i'm not sure.

And make sure to check all of your fans and cables are connected. Just to be sure.

yeh ive checked and everything is working fine inside. All the fans are working and its all good. But one thing i have noticed is that the longer i leave the computer off, the longer it gets through the boot up sequence before freezing. If i leave it off for 10 mins it will take about 30-35 seconds to freeze where as after i have tried a few times it freezes after about 5 seconds, dont know whether that is significant.
