Actually, the porcupine is one of the easiest animals to kill for someone lost in the woods. Its quills make excellent fire starters. They're pretty simple to run down - beat them over the head with a club. And, their meat isn't too horrible. So, as unlikely as it is, if any of you ever get hopelessly lost for days in the woods, there's a nice source of food scurrying around. Their dens are fairly easy to spot (you may even smell them before you spot them.) Just wait near their den around dusk for them to come out.
