I just got back from physical therapy and I am soooooo freaking sore. I just want to crawl in a hole and go to sleep. Is it like that for everyone?

I have fibromyalgia. (To know what it is look in this thread...Here) I am getting help for my low back right now. It just really hurts. UGH!

EDIT: The only thing we did today--the first day--was determining my flexibility and figuring out which spots hurt the worst. It was the poking and stuff that hurt really bad. Then she did some ultrasound, electric stimulation, and ice.

Virtual hugs to you!!!!

Yes, especially if you are retraining muscles. Take some Advil!

Yes, but after awhile you start to see improvement and the pain will get less. At least that is how it worked for me. I went to physical therapy for 6 months following a compression fracture of the humerus at the shoulder.

I'm glad that they finally found out what was going on with you, Slacker. They did some X-Rays on me and found that some of the joints where my vertebrae meet are degenerating. So, that's also part of the problem. I'm just one big mess. ;) Heehee

I just started working out again after a year of being lazy. I'm sore to the touch. So I sorta know how you feel. I'm not sure what is the cause of your pain, but if it is your muscles, the pain should go away after they start being conditioned. And in the meantime, you can use a topical cream like Myoflex (that's a brand name) or one of those Hot/Cold remedies that should take care of muscle pain. Go rent yourself a funny movie or something, laughing always makes you feel better;)
