OMG! Painted brake rotors in real life!

this one

I was in the shop paying my mechanic for safetying a car I just bought (92 ford tempo, v6, auto, 58k kilometers (yes, 58k), bad underbody rust though), and there was a riced grand prix GT on the hoist.

It was obvious that the owner had just grabbed a can of white spray paint and hit the entire rotor and caliper with it. All 4 of them.

I wish I had a camera 🙁

Considering it was a ricer, I'm not surprised 😉

I'd like to see him try and stop really quickly, from a safe distance mind you. dont get me started on ricers though

The braking surface was already free of any paint, but only because he had already driven it enough to wear it off. There was still lots of paint on the edges of the brake pad and on the thin outer side of the rotor though.

Red Rotors R0x0rs! 😀

It was a blue car with white "highlights".

Highlights include the bumper grill, rubber door moldings, lettering, and of course, the stock braking system 😉

I could take him in my Prix (only an SE but I'd run into him, he woudl be too afraid to hurt his baby that he would slam on the brakes, which would fail, and I would go to victory!)
