my friend needa a file so i gave him the damn link. The link is slow and the download is about 310Mb so i told him to download it. Its a .ISO file and it took 6 hours. Ok, skip to now 6 hours later and i have him download dameon tools and he says, "i dont know where i saved it". Heres what i said "remeber where u clicked saved when it open.. were did you save it to?" and he says, "saved? i press OPEN" omg.. non computer ppl!

OMG HE DIDNT SAVE IT!!!! I thought he would of known to press save. Hopefully its in cache of his computer and he re download it and it just saves to his computer preoperly! :|

Lol, I have a friend like that. He actually uses his computer a lot and is getting better, but I don't think he'll ever be like a fish in water with them - just not enough tech interest. Far worse are people like the family friends I had to do some spyware removal for today... They're the type who loves AOL so much they take them with them ("AOL For Broadband", a handholding service similar to MSN premium, probably $10/month like MSN premium as well) when they switch to broadband via a real ISP :disgust: On top of that I didn't realize that much spyware even f*cking existed until I scanned their pc.

Ahhh 😀

thats not that bad

i spent 2 hours today getting spywares and parasites off of my moms computer
she sat down, hit a website and got one of those spyware popups that said had the fake spyware warning message and a button to "clean your computer"

as soon as it opens she says "looks like you didn't get everything" and frickin clicked the link

LOL, I had a similar experience. My violin teacher's husband knows nothing about computers. I was showing him how to backup something on a zip drive. The typical "highlight the file, right-click, select copy, go to the zip drive, right-click, select paste." What was really funny, however, was that my teacher then asked me to backup MS Word (and presumably her documents)...by copying the desktop shortcut to the zip disk...oh boy...
