Rahm Emanuel sp? (credited for winning the House for the democrats in 06) lost his finger when he was younger in a meat grinding incident. Colbert started making fun of him and pulled out a ring box with a finger in it and started spinning it around while screaming.

Boo hoo someone didn't fill your mind with details within seconds of posting. My post was more out of shock of what I had just seen and was directed moreso towards people who were probably watching at the time.

In the mean time between my OP and my followup post, I was trying to find the correct spelling of Emmanuelle's name (still can't seem to find the right spelling) before I posted the full details.

That being said, the details are in the OP now and you can quit yer bitchin. It's not the end of the world and you aren't owed anything 😀

Yeah, that was pretty much a given, but I can't believe Colbert did that 🙂 As soon as he mentioned about him losing a finger (I had read about that a few months back in an issue of GQ or Esquire), I knew it was gonna get dirty

Perhaps, but it was just a quick-typed post at something that seemed a bit off the wall. I know that a lot of people here in ATOT watch Colbert so my first thought was that those that were watching the show would probably pick right up on the post and comment before I even had a chance to reply with details.

My dad lost his finger years ago and uses it for jokes all the time..sticking it by his eye near little kids, etc.

I'm sure he's well, well over losing his finger. It's just a finger, you can get by with 9 just fine.
