I just did a google search and it found my first ever usenet post that I did in my old BBS days. If I remember correctly, this was done on a 16Mhz with a 80 Meg HD and 15" amber CGA monitor and I'm not sure about the modem probably a 2,400 or 9,600 Bps modem. Damm in those days we had to ZModem tag files for overnight download and use Text based email and newsreaders. MY GOD.....

In that case you're old enough to remember Logan's Run and the scene where Logan and Jessica meet Ballard and are amazed because they've never seen an old person before.
Funny how art immitates life!

WOW that google is really cool. I searched for my name, and found posts going back to 1996. hehe I miss the old groups. I read a post I made in 1996 about how much I hated Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and the rest of the damn cowgirls. hehe I also found a bunch of posts in some old PC game newsgroups and rec.sport.pro-wrestling.

neato. It's kinda freaky that my old posts are actually archived somewhere.

I think I meant to say "life imitates art."

I like it, too, although the book was much better, IMO. The film's on DVD now.....gotta go get that!

Shucks.

I really feel like I lost out. I wa a computer nut growin up. Had a Commodore 64 and used a 2400baud modem to dial into local BBSes and such. Programmed basic and such. Then I stopped. This was 1991. I Started using computers again in 1996 Which was my sophomore year of college. In between I had deviated from a normal life and became a pothead loser.
I lost out on the formative years of the internet. Who knows, if I was still involved at that time I might have started a website for hardware. :)
