I can click everything, but my mouse won't let me click and drag or highlight text or images.

I've never had this happen

HOW CAN I FIX IT PLEASE HELP ME!
 
What OS?
What brand\model\type(PS/2, USB, Wireless) mouse?

If PS/2 and Win2k/XP then you may want to try running the System File Checker (SFC).

Go to START \ RUN and type sfc /scannow
