Whatever. Go ahead and jump on the bandwagon if you want to, but you can't deny that their earlier stuff kicks some ass, and had a major influence on the metal scene.

It doesen't matter what they're doing now, you can't ever take the old stuff away.

Some of their early stuff is decent, but their new stuff sucks, and Metallica is compiled of a few dbags that yell into a microphone. Besides that, the lead singer's name is Lars man. L-A-R-S. HEY LARS WOULD YOU LIKE A CUP OF TEA? HUIHHH??? Its not badass like SLash or something.

This is the biggest difference between consumers and music lovers. Consumers follow the simple principle "you're only as good as your last publication" whereas people who truly appreciate music can see past this. Never underestimate the power of ignorance, and remember that no matter what, it's all subjective anyway so getting angry about it solves nothing. That being said, everything pre black was awesome, everything post has sucked.

Actually Lars is the drummer. The lead singer's name is James.

Hey corp, you realize you've become a bigger tool than metallica fans and newer pop fans, right?

Why because I don't like something you do? Does that make me a bad person? Can you afford to assume this much about me from a 3 word statement? Have I really become a giant tool because I don't like a song you do? Music is subjective, go look that up in whatever dictionary you have in your ass.

You pretty much made my point. It's so subjective, yet you know what is good and what is not. Wait, you are the sh¦t CorporateRecreation, I won't speak of you lightly again.

All he said was just because you don't like it doesen't mean the music sucks.

Same thing the other way around.

And yeah, Lars is the drummer. :p

James > Lars

I love the Black album too.

The rest afterwards are good, but just not "great" like the early ones.

This is coming from someone who just recently discovered Metallica (3-4 yrs ago, now 22 years old). And went backwards as far as listening to the timeline. I thought the newer albums (especially S&M) were fantastic, and then I finally got the old ones. It was a bit of a shock, and at first it was weird for me, and then I discovered how good they were. :)

I love Unforgiven too.

I discovered Metallica when I was 16, I'm 22 now. :D

The first song I ever heard was Seek and Destroy. I went out and bought Kill 'Em All and The Black album the next day.

I bought Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets a few days later.

Who is the idiot that dissed them because Lars was the leader singer?

What an idiot.

Edit: Metallica kicks ass. I don't care for Lars and the whole napster thing, which is a main reason why a bunch of losers/noobies hate them.

Music is Music, as long as you write it yourself. Bands that get there sh!t generically written (Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, N*SYNC) suck. Note that LP and LB started out writing their own stuff, and their first albums are both pretty good, after that, STRAIGHT DOWN HILL.

they dedicate their lives
to running all of his
he tries to please them all
this bitter man he is
throughout his life the same
he's battled constantly
this fight he cannot win
a tired man they see no longer cares
the old man then prepares
to die regretfully
that old man here is me

<sniffle>
