Yeh, but I bet it's not 1.3" thick and weighs under 5 pounds.

Exactly. I could buy the biggest and baddest Dell Inspiron 8250 laptop but it's going to be a BEAST in terms of weight and girth.

This is a respectable amount of power, features and IBM build quality all in a small 5 pound 1.3 inch laptop.

Once again, IBM laptops prove to be more expensive and underpowered compared to their competition.

My company, bought me, a P4 Mobile, 1.6ghz laptop, that has a 15" screen with a native resolution of 16x12. That was the same price as the laptop you bought. I've never been a fan of the IBM laptops and this is another example of why I feel they are overpriced for being so much less.

Enjoy your purchase. I doubt (with the amount of posts you have) you didn't do your research on the laptop, compare pricing, etc. I'm just ranting about why I don't like IBMs pricing with their existing laptops.

Thank you for bolding the critical components, otherwise I would have overseen them.

Ahem. How big, and light is the laptop? Portability and packability comes at a cost.

That is almost as nice as my desktop, a little behind in everything, but pretty close.

I've got a couple of T23's at work (one main, one for lab/secondary use). Very nice laptops, love the built-in wifi. You do know, however, that they have released a new version with a P4M, right? Something like 1.8Ghz.
