So last night my roommate asks me for a copy of linux, so of course searching through all the different distros I had, I handed him a copy of Slackware 10. I immediately asked him why he wanted to install linux.

He said, "I installed Windows but I was too lazy and tired to install all the patches for it, therefore I am just gonna install Slackware so I won't have to worry about patches."

This is was probably the first time I have seen someone say linux is actually easier and less tiring to install than Windows. Especially since this is Slackware and not Mandrake or Suse.

I think you can get a fedora system running without ever hitting a command line.
