pick up the recently released 'legend of johnny cash' cd. it does omit a few good tracks but overall i find it to be a good beginners guide to cash.

That was prob his best song. The video was pretty powerful too, especially since he did them knowing the end was coming.

All the covers on that cd are at least as good as the originals, most of them are better. You should check out 'I Hung My Head' off of American IV. It was originaly a Sting song, but the Johnny Cash version is much better, and the lyrics are great.

Legends of Johnny Cash is an incredible CD, I picked it up after hearing a few songs... every song on the cd is fantastic.
