Why do allt hese FPS feel the only way to spice thing up is to add mutants/zombies/demons/aliens/etc???? BLAH..I stopped playing after that

If by "beat" you mean "look better"... then I don't know what the hell are you talking about. HL2 looked better in its E3 clips than Far Cry does in the final version.

does anyone realize that halflife kicked so much ass, and only ran on a modified quake1 engine? i think developers should focus more on gameplay than engine capabilities. im not saying you can't make the next and greatest 3d engine. just don't hype it so damn much if the game is going to suck horriblt *cough* unreal2 *cough*

All the raves I keep hearing about it have my curiousity piqued. I think I'm going to finally break down and buy it .

But I've also been waiting for Thief 3 for years though and now that I finally have a video card able to handle that one (was able to snag that Radeon 9600 Pro from Circuit City for $54 out the door thanks to Hot Deals ) I'm not sure if I can wait any longer. What to do, what to do.

JESUS CHRIST!!!

Rebellion Level: Just finished this level (on medium difficulty) last night, took almost 3 Hours. Thought it was a hella lot harder as when I started the level right before the Hang Glider at the beginning of the level, I had NO Ammo or Armor.

This level has got to be the BIGGEST DAMN Map of ANY GAME, EVER!! My god. When I checked in the Task Manager, it showed 530MB usage for FarCry. But I don't think this is accurate, as the Page File size was 939MB as well?

Best $18 I ever spent!

Anyway, back to the game..............

(Damn my wrists and knuckles are pretty sore. LOL)

Of course HL2 image quality will beat Far Cry's; a game that comes out in 2015 will certainly look better than one that came out in 2004
