I heard that Tim Horton's didn't even pay for the Azteks. Pontiac gave it to them for the contest because they want to increase its exposure to people (i.e. free advertising) and they want to make it seem like its a prized possession (no pun intended).

Pontiac's not all bad though...my family has a 2000 Montana (with upgraded engine... 3.8L, 200HP) and it has been fine...no problems. Then again, not much choice since it's a company car and we got it for free

A friend of mine works at a Pontiac dealership. Not too long after the Aztec was released, the owner held an emergency meeting. The owner stated that if he heard one more employee joke about how ugly the Aztec is, that person would be fired immediately.
