my internet went down for 15 minutes...I didnt know what to do.

I am on hold with Comcast right now. I plan on demanding that they credit me one month's service, plus an additional six months worth of service for pain and suffering.

tell them you wish to have the downtime removed from your next payment... 15 minutes in a 29 day months asuming you pay ~40 bucks would be 5 cents. demand that they give you a 5 cent credit on your next statement.

Are you kidding me? A month of free service for one 15 minute service interruption? You're crazy.

Several PC's at work were infected with DDOS zombies that would launch their attacks from about 2-3 pm every day, effectively cutting off our internet access. It took a week or so for MIS to track down and clean all the systems involved. What was funny was how each day during that hour we had more people leaving their desks/cubicles to see other employees and get some actual work done. The first day it happened people were wandering the halls like lost children... :)

I don't know what kind of service you get in the US, but a guarantee business service here in Canada is 1 consecutive hour down before we get a month of service for free. And, you are SOL if it is residential connection.

I once had almost weeks of fluctuations service (on/off) from both Shaw & Telus. And, we didn?t get any price deduction for the trouble that I got. (I was in network security & our system monitored over 2000 corporate firewalls around the globe).
