i was installing something today on my acer3003wlci and all of a sudden everything goes blank. I tried pressing the on/off button but it doesn't do anything.... oh no, what should i do? 🙁
try unplugging the power cord from the laptop and then plugging it back in after a few secs. My laptop has on occasion lost power when picking it up to move it... power cord comes loose or something... and then won't turn on even though it shows power lights on the laptop until I unplug it and plug it back in.... usually pretty rare for me... and who knows might not even work for you /shrug
Sounds like either it's the power unit ( you ac adapter and or battery ) try using the laptop with the battery only and then with the AC only.
Or it could be a motherboard failure then Acer is your only hope for a replacement. If it's under warranty you will get it fixed free, if not then you must put some Denero on the table. sorry for your loss.

Most common reason for this would be a piece of hardware comes unseated and halts the machine. When you power it off it wont come back on because that piece of hardware is still not seated correctly. My advice would be to check your memory modules. They have an uncanny ability to come unseated with not a whole lot of moving around. Pop them out and pop them back in.
If the laptop is still under warranty Rottie gave the best advice. Call acer support and let them trouble shoot it. That is after all why you paid for their warranty 🙂.
