FIXED!! Not sure exactly what fixed it, but I unplugged all the power cords, took out the vidcard, blew some compressed air in there, put it back in, and WHAM BAM THANKYOU MAN! it worked 🙂

I just got my Radeon 9800Pro 256mb today, went on to install it, and then I turned on my pc.

- Nothing runs except for case fans.
- No cpu fan, no vidcard fan, don't hear hd's spin.

I'm guessing I must have zapped the mobo when I installed the vid card. I tried putting an old video card back in (GF2 GTS), and same problem now. One of the green lights on the mobo still turns on, but basically nothing runs.

Intel mobo D845GEBV2

Antec Trupower 430

Help! What can I do???

IM me on AIM to help me faster, sn=Trancer911

what is your current powersupply? it might be that it doesnt give enough current since 9800's are power hungry. also did you connect a power to the 9800 too? i gues it have a floppy-like connector. just check

hope this helps..

Antec 430. Yes, I connected the power before. I used to run a 9700pro on the pc, so I know the power supply is fine. If I forgot to connect the powercord, it would have only been the vidcard that didn't start up. At this point, NOTHING runs except for case fans.
