I was out till late on Saturday night, and got up late on Sunday around 3pm. I had a scheduled server installation in PA for 10am on Monday, but couldn't sleep at night because I had woken up so early.
After hours of trying to fall asleep (playing tetris/checking ATOT), I got out of bed, showered and left for PA.
Soon after I got there and started the install, I get a call from a guy at work who asks if i can cover his shift for him tonight. I said yes, reluctantly; I could have said no, but he always switches/covers for me when I ask him and he hardly ever asks.
Anyway, finished the install around 4.00, everything went smooth, but I am already tired now having been up 24 hours. I leave PA at 4.30pm for the ~115 mile drive to work ... Got to my exit at about 6.30, half hour early only 2 miles to go, cool I'll take a nap.
Nope, exit was super backed up and I see cop lights ahead, so I detour to the next one, got in at 6:50.
Fast forward to present time... I am at work for 12 more hours until 7am tomorrow morning. Thats gonna be 40 hours straight, and then a 50 mile commute home on the Garden State Frikkin Parkway. Maybe 5 years ago i could have done it with no problems, dunno about now, I already feel useless.
God please let it be a slow night.
Cliffs:
Woke up 3pm Sunday
Worked an server install during day Monday
Got called in to night shift at regular job
Will be up for ~41 hours straight before I get home
I feel shattered already and I have 12 hours to go
