I began lifting this last week, and I think I almost killed myself... Worked out chest on Monday, Biceps on Wednesday and Triceps on Friday. Neither my chest or biceps in sore, but my triceps, they are killing me, I can't bend my arms at all, if I try to do, my triceps hurt like they are gonna break up... Omg! Somebody help me! Give me some advise to relieve the pain, relax my body!

Go run a nice, hot bath and soak your ass in there for 2 or 3 hours.

If you only have a shower, you're fvcked.

Thanks guys, it just hurts so much, I have been licking food off my plate cause I can use a fork/spoon!!! Argh.... And I told my friend to grab some straws so I can drink without pain! This is horrible, I mean, my biceps and chest is all good but my triceps... :( I think I'll fill the tub with *very* hot water and just lay in it for a couple hours..

Maybe you have a torn muscle - did you look there? Was there any bruising? How about if you move it - does it hurt more if you get into the more extreme range of motion (if you bend your arms more?), to the point where you can't bend them anymore?

I love being sore after working out for the first time in awhile...it feels like you've actually done something...
It sucked last week though cuase I hadn't done abs in like 2 monthes and I did like 10 ab exercises then got a cold and started sneezing...my abs were dying

Use Icy Hot.. I love that stuff for sore muscles.. (actually, I use Mineral Oil which is a little less potent) either way, good stuff

You've got the heat part right.. I would get one of those reusable heat packs.. or a heating pad and sleep on it.

Well, I know it's not a bruised muscle because it's the same muscle on both arms....
exact same part.

I guess I will have to get one of those heating pads and wrap it around my arms...

if both arms are sore in the same place, then it's probably not injuries.
just wait until the soreness is almost gone before working out your arms again.

btw, you don't know pain until you know post-squat pain.

hehe well, i am trying to balance both arms ;)

yeah i dont think it's injury. i lift every single body part once a week, so I give them enough rest to recover :)

Monday - Chest
Wednesday - Biceps
Friday - Triceps

And swim around 2 miles 4-5 times a week....

I say that actually feels quite nice. You notice that you are truly working your muscles and that they are now building more :)

I know it's not :) It was just an example, I overlifted my legs when I was a kid, so they are built up pretty strong and big, so I don't need any lifting for underwaist :D Running keeps them in them shape. And I do abs 3-4 times a week. And for shoulders/back, swimming is the best exercise for them (IMO).

Apparently you didnt push yourself on with the Chest and Biceps. I remember the first day starting working out, i was stupid enough to went all out....took me a week to recover and i had trouble sleeping. Every move i made it hurts soooo bad.

ADvice: Go Slow and gradually build up and then push it to the MAX.

Well actually, it was the fact that I lifted during the summer until mid-august, but havent lifted triceps during summer, so that's why.... i pushed myself pretty hard on chest and biceps as well :D
