OMG, I actually finished a game!!!

Ok, I actually do finish many games, but due to having 2 boys and a very busy schedule at work/home, I really don't get to play much anymore and it takes quite a bit of time to finish most anything anymore. However, I found myself making time to play Heavenly Sword and had it wiped in around 5-6 sittings. There's just something compelling about playing a God of War type game (I finished GOW 1, 2, and Chains of Olympus on PSP too FWIW) featuring one of the hottest digital women ever rendered. The game made good use of the motion sensing capabilities of the DualShock3 also, which is kinda rare for PS3 games.

It was kinda short in length, but I could easily see myself playing through it again because the story was so good. Only other minor gripe from me is the lack of variety in enemies. Solid 8.5-9 out of 10 from me for sure overall though.

I dunno, if you're really busy a shorter game can be much better for you. They make up for their short length with greater intensity. When a game drags on too long, it's much worse IMO.

Split the cost with a friend using the B2G1 promotion at Gamestop. We both played Heavenly Sword and then traded it back in. We each got a copy of The Force Unleashed too. So, basically it was $110 ($54.99x2 + tax - 10% off with Edge card) for a couple of copies of TFU and we each got to play Heavenly Sword.

The villains and cutscenes in this game were extremely annoying to me. Also the fight against the final boss was annoying to the point where I just gave up on it.

I've actually been thinking of getting back in and finishing this game myself, once my wife and I complete Batman Lego on the 360.

The final boss is a major PITA! At least the villains and cutscenes had some personality and general creepiness to them.

Oh man...how can you give up on the final boss? Go to gamefaqs and read up on how to beat it!
