I was paying $350 for PPO coverage w/optical and dental a few months ago. Freaking expensive, and highway robbery IMHO.

Try living WITHOUT Health Insurance and see what your medical bills are like. Quit yer whinin'

I've been lucky, I guess, I've never lived without health insurance.

Although he never made much, my dad always had insurance & before I was too old to be on his I had employment that provided insurance.

I pay ~$90 a month for PPO coverage, they even pay for my horrendously expensive RGP contact lenses.

Ah, the perks of working at a hospital/research facility....

The 29 days of vacation/year aren't too shabby either...:D

29days of vacation mmm would love that, in most countries vacation is a month or more its only in US very little, in other days you can even have weeks of sick days as long you have Doctors note

Actually, its more along the lines of both. I don't know which is more to blame than the other, but malpractice suits are a big reason why.
