OMG...have you seen the latest Apple "Switch" commercial?

It's some freaky looking kid who looks about 13 but has a voice like James Earl Jones. He is lamenting the difficulty in carrying multiple CDs with him. You know, when you try to cram a bunch of jewel cases together in your backpack, and they all spill out and the cases get cracked? Thank goodness though, the iPod is to the rescue!!! Now he can hold, like, 100 CDs in something that's as big as (insert picture of him holding his hands together).

Once again, Apple manages to perpetuate their own stereotype. I'm glad they alerted me to this problem, because I would never have though to use a CD binder or anything like that!

Yeah, I was watching all the switch commericials last night and got a good laugh. I like how he thinks his iPod makes him feel "powerful". Someone won't be getting laid this century...

Amen! The local Mac guy where I work was exactly like this when he got his iPod. He carried it around and showed people as if he had a new baby.

Well I will say that the iPod is a damn fine device and iTunes is better than anything I use on my Windows box.

It doesn't matter how cool the device is, it is just plain stupid to make a commercial like that. Don't they test these things with a focus group first? Didn't they notice all the people in the group laughing their asses off at the kid?

I wouldn't switch to a Mac just because of the commercials. They're just plain stupid. They pick stupid people and try to make them look like average Americans.
