do tell more. i was thinking of finally playing a mmorpg. i beta'd SWG, but didn't like it. I need one that i can play a lot and not do the same 'ol same 'ol leveling and hunting, and it can't take FOREVER to get a halfway decent game going. is ffxi it?

How is it visually? I heard it's pretty low rez and doesn't support AA or AF.

I heard that this game is faster than everquest (leveling wise). But u still need to put a lot of hours in to get to the cool stuff (summon avatars, etc). There is a LOT of things to do here... im just barely scratching the surface..

there are auctions, u can go fishing, u can furnish ur house, un can buy and trade, kill monsters, take on missions, quests, make weapons, etc etc

There are three cities (kingdoms) and each kingdom is different than the other... I just started playing on Bastog...

I think its better than EQ, but its typical of MMORPG games: visually its not that good..

well maybe bc my comp spec sucks??

im not addicted... Only played 4 hours yesterday and 0 today :)
been busy ALL DAY today and now i have to study damn it!

I'm on Odin but im probably delete my character... i don't like my red mage tarutaru.

i would easily pay $10 or $15 for this game if they gave me the cd for free and first month free. If I get addicted like I have been to so many other FF's, then I'll probably be a customer forever.

There's no way in hell I'm paying $49.95 for the game (or 39.95 if a hot deal) plus a monthly fee straight off the bat

tell that to the poor souls who bought swg, and pre paid 6 months when signing up, so they could wait for the devs to finish putting in all the features they promissed they woudl..

i'd get the ffxi, but dun have that much free time to play it. no way i'd pay 14 a month to just keep my acct active.. *sigh*

The beta of this game left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be picking this up.
