It's better than the doc that carved his initials in the womans stomach after a c-section. They were about 2" tall or something too. :Q

That's crazy. The uterus was coming out anyways, does it really matter what the heck he did to it. Good thing this woman can never have anymore kids, should take the ones she does have away from her.

Nothing. Why? :)

She was also used as a chopping block. Good thing she didn't sue because of that. The damn body part was coming out anyways, maybe this is the way he tests to see if the cauterizer is working. Don't want to cut the body part out and then have the women bleed to death. The woman is only trying to get some money, why shouldn't she. Everybody else does, huh?

Probably nature.

I would like to see the video of this. If the doctor was making a big scene about the whole burning of this uterus then that'd be alittle different, he needs to act professional. But if it was just to test the instrument then what is the harm? I haven't seen the video, could someone please find it?

I watched the video... a bit far reaching to claim "testing".

Who cares what he does with the uterus after removal - but to do it before removal, while she's still under. Wrong.

That he videotaped and gave a copy to the patients... he's asking for lawsuits.

Don't overlook the fact that this procedure comes with a change in life perception - lots of emotional issues in the first place. To treat it as inconsequential adds insult to injury.

More power to the plaintiff.

I've made an impression on a few uteruses, but nothing like this.... :D

I worked in surgery for several years, and I've seen some weird things, but I cannot for the life of me think what might have been going through this doctor's head. Although, I think he should be disciplined by his state's medical board and the hospital, I don't think this should be construed as medical malpractice. Having bad taste and malpractice are two different things.

The uterus was coming out anyhow. The woman suffered no physical damage, and admits she is in perfect health. The doctor did his job, and did it well.

If this causes them "emotional damage," they need to sue themselves and their parents for being over-emotional dipsh!ts.

I could understand if he removed it and then burned UK into it and never showed it to the patient. Why did he think that this woman and her husband would want a copy????

What the big deal?

I remember being under local anesthesia and in surgery while the doctor talked to me and his assisstant about their kids in college etc. He could have been drawing smiley faces all over the part of me he was removing for all I care. All I care is that he does a good job, and that he did.

The doctor is just a sick guy, he needs to be treated himself.
