I guess my point is; an ego must be sated.. the question is by what. It is easy to say "have no ego" but, that is undoable. Self confidence is fostered in many ways, it seems to me. I only suggest that the more permenent aspect of life serves to provide a lifetime free of depressive thoughts. We live in a culture where physical beauty is valued over inner beauty. If one values beauty first in others they tend to value it first in themselves and when that departs they are left with what remains. To the extent what remains rich and full so to is the life that remains and the folks around them benefit. Grass is greener when it is watered not just at the neighbors house...
