They sent out a class action lawsuit form several months ago and I thought nothing really of it, thinking at best I would get a few bucks and it would take years. But I was like "what the heck, might as well fill out it. Easy enough."

So today in the mail, I just got a check for $650.67!!! I worked there less than 6 months. (Horrible work environment, high turnover rate, incompetent management, etc.)

It was something like they didn't give the breaks/lunchtime as required by law. Maybe its only in California.

On another note: did anyone receive any vouchers from Microsoft? RE: Class action suit from California consumers?

No, I haven't received mine yet and was actually thinking about how long ago I sent that in just a few days ago.

Spend it at Circuit City. That would be better then giving BB back the $.

Better yet, try to find some deal that best buy loses money on... like employee discount + pricematch + rebates or something? That would be so awesome... get $650 from best buy and then spend it there and get more than $650 worth of stuff so they lose even more....

It might be kind of hard to get something for below cost though, I've never worked retail.

Yeah I used to work for Best Buy for 2.5 years in college. I liked it at first, plus the discount is usually awesome. But after about 6 months I got tired of it... mostly due to (like Dragnov said) incompetent mgmt. and a $hitty work environment. I didn't feel like Best Buy gave a $hit about me, just about the mighty dollar. Plus, they'd try every trick in the book to screw nice, innocent people over.
