Oh...my...god...So I head downstairs and make some lunch. I go turn on the TV and after flying through some channels and finding nothing of interest I hit up the Sci-Fi channel, I love the Sci-Fi channel, it's my favorite channel. But oh, I find this in it's place...Pic 1, Pic 2 **screaming*oh that's right you can't watch it anymore because Comcast, the only cable provider in your area used their monoplizing skills to try and make you upgrade to digital cable!*/screaming** Cable users in Chicago's west suburbs, ready yourselves!

I think they might win with their little ploy with me too...:(...Gah, how much more does digital-cable cost, anyways??! Terrible.

As far as I know, they started late yesterday. Sci-Fi channel was fuzzy. Probably because they were chaning things around and getting ready to make the big switch.

Me too. I also prefer regular analog cable so I can watch TV on my computer with my Hauppauge TV cards. What happens if I am force into Comcast Digital? Will I be able to use my Hauppauge TV cards?

digital cable is only $10 more.. and you get on demand when you subscribe for their digital service... it's a life savor when my son wants to watch cartoons at night.. i'm glad i have it, although i hvae yet to explore all the channels i have.. not sure if that includes the hd channels.. if not, i think that's also fairly cheap.. $5/month i think.. i've got scifi.. ha ha, sucker! i've also got both stargates programmed to record on my dvr system that i rent from them for $10/month.. it comes in handy

What would a cable company be if they weren't reducing features or increasing rates?

That said, I'm probably switching to satelite soon.

Dude upgrade to digital cable. You get 1 box free and they have a promo where you get HBO Digital cable and Internet for 55 a month including tax. JUMP ON IT! also if you have more tvs you can hook up cables to em and get standard cable for free.

that price is for 6 months. THen next 3 are 75 then last 3 are 100. BUT theres no contract so you can cancel whenever you want. But i figure if you have broadband and cable you're paying 100 anyways. Just do it and stop your god damn whining.

Comcast's digital tuner boxes can die in a fire. When in the heck are they coming out with a tuner you don't have to rent/purchase from Comcast for digital cable anyway?
