I have a P3 700E with 128 MB Crucial Ram at Cas 2.2.2
After getting the 3.0 Client from the Seti site, my results
have differed a LOT from each other. With the old client,
I got a unit done in 7.30 Hours on average, while 6 h.40 min being the best result. Suddenly(even with the old 2.4 client) I got results like 12 hours... After downloading the 3.0 client, I read that they now introduced new search patterns so the results may vary even more. That´s ok. Still
I was dissappointed with 13 hour results. I tried 933 2 times and got better results, but never came close to 6 hours again.

UNTIL NOW. The unit was finished after 27 min!!! The server accepted it. I still think it´s a glitch though.....

What are your results on a 700 and 933 system?

Rellik,

I have a DELL PIII733, don't know any specifics, but it consistently does WUs between 4 and 4.5 hours on the SETI 2.7 client.
My PII300 laptop does them in 12.5 hours on the GUI 3.0 client !!!!

Sounds like yours is going very slowly..

Hi Rellik!! It must be the difference in voltage. At 220 volts the WU's take twice as long; then factor in the loss from 50 cycles vs. 60 cycles and you've got it! :):D:):D

Something isn't right to be getting those times, especially with your memory being CAS2. Are you running GUI or CLI version of 3.0? If it is the GUI version, then make sure the screensaver is not reset to S@H.

Check my fleet below in my sig and you will see how cli3.0 is doing for me.

Good luck!

DC doesn't use the cycles, you 220 v. 110 referance means nothing past the power supply.

Hi :) ,long time no see here.
With my Cel 550 ,CAS2 RAM ,I was getting around 7.5-8 hrs on CLi v2.4 ,with CLi v3.0 most WU's are from 5.25 hrs to 7.5 hrs.
Have you got a task manager to check SETI cpu utilisation? ,if not ,try this 1.
