Why not buy a fleet of Chevy Metros and let the kid drive those? They might wreck a few, but they will hopefully have one good one left by the time they get to be a decent driver. They should also go slightly faster then 14 or 20 mph. ;)

"automatic transmission"
Bullsh|t. If it had more than one gear ratio, it would go way faster than 14mph (or 20 for that matter). *cough*torque converter*cough*

"working headlights"
Wow, for a mere $20k, you get LIGHTS!

"roll bar"
Look where the kid's head is in relation to that roll bar. LINK

I might as well buy a real car for that 8 yearold when he turns 16. That is some stupid stuff.

And it will degrade a child and will spoil him too. Not to mention, when he turns 10, he would break the thing when he sits in it.

People people, lets not forget the demographic the "product" is targeting (rich yuppies where money = image/self worth). You're talking about people who will buy the "most expensive" (not the best, just most expensive) items they can get their hands on because they can, and the "Jones" can't. These are the same people whom Intel is counting on to buy the Pentium IV, because they can surf the net better.

I bet that it will sell out even faster if the price is setted at $80,000 instead of just $40,000.
