OMFG WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DO THIS TO A PORSCHE

WTF are you talking about. At least that stuff IS THERE FOR AN ACTUAL PURPOSE. It's not rice if it works.

theres probably massive downforce in that car.... looks like it does racing... actual racing

looks nice to me 😀

911 Turbo I believe. Not rice.

well the wing probably is usefull, but the widebody kit isn't. it creates more drag making the car slower. Porshe just doesn't design there cars for looks, the shape they're in are very aerodynamic as it is. i doubt Klausen and his big bug chaser rear fenders re adding anything to it, and the wing is bug chaser too.

Great use? Massive downforce? Looks like it does racing?

I'm looking at the same pictures you guys are, and all I see is a Porsche with 3/4's of it's value strapped to it in the form of plastic. If it was an actual "race car" it would most likely be prepped with a roll cage (which, from these pictures I can't see). Also, I can't make out any excessive large rotors.. which, again, would indicate a lack of "racing... actual racing". Also, if it was a "professional race car" I would presume it would be hosting stickers of a sponsoring nature, rather than those (obviously) "aftermarket performance manufacturers" (read: rice body panels).

I'm not knocking the car, hell, for all I know it could be a torn down, tubbed out honest to god track car.. but at least I can provide some factual oversight. 🙂

I'm just sick of seeing these cars on the road every day "in full race prep" as if the car does 200mph on the open road. I have more HP than 90% of the cars I see on the road every day, and I haven't added a single additional body panel to my car for "stability" -- it does just fine with what it came with.

It does some type of racing - note the scoop on the top of the car and the brake cooling ducts on the sides

And?? I can pick that up in a Jegs catalog. So? What's the point of all that cooling for stock rotors? 🙂

Can you see the rotors? no.

Can you see the interior? no.

Are you talking out of your ass? yes.

If the rotors were of larger than stock size, then yes I would be able to see them in the first picture.

If there was a cage in the car, it would be visible in either picture.. front or rear.. through the glass.

Are you just trying to seem versed on a subject that you are not? You decide..

You can't see the rotors because the of the angle the shots were taken

The glass is tinted, you don't have an unobstructed view of the inside to see what's in there or not. Not trying to seem versed at all, just using common sense 😉

OMG, are you still at this? Do you know what rotors are, seriously? Same thing for a rollcage, are you aware what those are? For the love of God, click on the back picture -- you can see through the rear window, do you see a big god-awful cage bar? No.. you don't. Do you know why? BECAUSE THERE IS NO CAGE.

See, now it all makes sense.. people will continue to "rice" their cars, because there are obviously people out there who are fooled into thinking it's something it's not.

It actually all looks functional. The snout on top is functional (you can see the intake through the rear window), and I can see what are either oil coolers or intercoolers (probably oil cooler on one side and an intercooler on the other) in the rear shot. The wing in the back looks to be at least a little adjustable too.

I've seen much, much, much worse things done to Porsches, you should see the horrors inflicted on some of the 914's I've seen.

ZV

EDIT: The rotors are hidden in both shots. It's impossible to tell if they are stock or not. There is clearly no roll cage in the car however. As for the fenders being a wind-blocker, yes they are. However, most race cars put up with the extra drag beacuse the wide fenders allow wider tires, and the tradeoff in top speed is more than made up for in the curves. And as for whoever said that the 911 was a very aerodynamic body shape, I want some of what you're smoking. The 911 is a beautiful car, but it has never in its history been a very aerodynamic car.

Is it slow? No, of course not. Of course, it does depend what you're comparing it to. I guess it's relative. However, if you're asking if it's fast enough to warrant the modifications done to it.. then no, not nearly.
