OMFG! This explains Tom Cruises weird behaviour!

This group gets a little tense and needs a good laugh every now and then. Something to break up the hate that goes on. Lighten the mood.

Well you could've at least posted something new man. This is old. Funny, but old. Actually you should've posted something somewhat relevant to this forum, there are plenty of funny video related things you could've brought up.

just out of curosity is there any particular reason you dont like quicktime?

For me I dont like being bothered to purchase the upgrade to QT pro just about every time I try to view a quicktime video clip. I also didnt appreciate apple installing itunes onto my pc either.

Another one who annoyed itself into nearly non existance is RM. Real networks hides options and if you dont find those magic settings registers you to a bunch of junk and tries to take over a bunch of other items on your machine. People didnt like getting spammed because of RM being so shady.

Plus I dont trust either of them running at startup in the background. I have read too many things on monitoring your activity from both.

not to champion quicktime or anything just to share a tip, but a good way to just avoid getting itunes is when you download quicktime just say that you dont have XP and get the version of quicktime for 95/98/ME. you will get the very same quicktime minus the itunes. Ive never asked to upgrade to quicktime pro that I can remember. now all you have to deal with is that little "Q" icon in your system tray. 😛

It is very easy to get rid of the Quicktime taskbar icon and stop it from starting at Windows startup.
You can remove the icon using the Quicktime options. You can remove it (qttask.exe) from startup using any registry controller that can set up the start-up programs.
