Here's hoping the performance is on par with UT and not Deus Ex. As great a game as Deus Ex is, the engine performs so bad on GeForce that it's hard to play sometimes despite its gameplay.

My hat's off to the folks at Epic in regards to the final release patch for Unreal. It may have taken a while, but for the first time I can play Unreal in D3D. The D3D performance is about double that of the 225f patch and graphics are wonderful.
Thanks Epic!

Yeah, they did a really good job with this one. Super smooth. Playing at very smooth rates at 1152*864. This game is still pretty competitive graphically even by todays standards.

I installed it, not better.
On my humble P2 300/128MB/TNT1 (OC'ed slightly) det 2.08 (by far the fastest driver for a TNT1 IMO) timedemo 1 on the fly by (second cycle, 1024x768x32, everything high) dropped from 22 to 19.

Get a new video card....anything would be better than a TNT1! Even a Banshee. Now I'm not bashing the TNT1 mind you, but a 3DFX card will run games much better on a 300mhz computer than any TNT will.

There's no way performance should be worse, no matter what the video card is. I had a TNT with a P2-400 and was getting 30+ FPS with UT. Unreal, being a less complex game, should be even faster. The 2.08s may be the fastest for most games, but with Unreal games being so quirky, maybe you should give the newer ones a try. I'm using 5.32s on a geforce SDR, still on the P2-400 (for now) with the smoothness I described before.
