I haven't seen one yet today(or in a couple years really) that actually had me thinking it could be real. And then I started watching PTI and the damn Kansas-Davidson replay had me hooked. Even started googling the story when the said april fools :frown:

Lol, I just came on here to post the same thing! Wow, that was a believable story too, but then I was wondering... how would they screw something up like keeping track of which players fouled out... and this would've been huge news the day of the incident. But, that was a great prank, and they kept straight faces throughout the thing too!

Their first story of the show was that the NCAA will be replaying the last 16 seconds of the KU/Davidson tomorrow evening because one of the KU players on the court had already committed his 5th foul and the ref's didn't catch that he was still on the court. They discussed how this was good for the NCAA because they're always favoring the PAC10 teams, but also messed up because it took so long for them to catch this error. It was believable.. im sure there'll be a youtube vid of it up soon.

Acronyms and text messaging are going to be the downfall of society as understanding how to communicate is lost.

Would have been better if they had said the replay would be at San Antonio right before the Final Four ... at least that makes logistical sense if anything as earth shattering as that news were true.

While that may possibly be true, PTI is the proper name of the show. Much like ESPN, MTV, CNN, CBS, etc. are the proper name of the channels. You don't say, "I'm going to turn on the entertainment and sports programming network!" You just call it ESPN, same case here. Although, I do somewhat agree with your original comments.

They did a good job selling it, but they shouldn't have revealed it right away. Isn't half the fun having people call/write in in shock? I guess they wanted to do the responsible thing to not annoy people.
