Yeah. This would totally pwn the NEC 20WMGX2 that I just ordered. Of course, it's probably alot more expensive.

Even if they're selling it as an HDTV display, I'd assume they'd at least include an HDMI input, to which you could connect a DVI->HDMI adapter (fed by your video card)...

It may be (I actually don't know one way or the other), but I doubt any company introducing this new tech would be so charitable as to not overcharge for the new products based on it :p

That's why you always wait for Rev. 2 ;)

Then they've worked out any reliability/durability issues and it's in full mass production = cheaper ftw. :)

Yeah, I won't really be in a position to upgrade my monitor this year anyway...I already have other expensive stuff I want to buy, like a new video card and camera and hard drives and PPU and.....

:p

hmm, it doesn't seem like the end product of this technology is a year away like we've been told

EDIT, why does it say 6 million something pixels when it's actually more like 1/5 that?

exactly what i was gonna say...
no 1080p makes for a no deal on HDTV... specially for a brand new device..

but if reasonably priced and has fast response times may be a nice monitor.

If the native resolution in pixels is 1920x1080, then it should be listed.

It only lists up to 1080i. Don't some TVs have 1920x1080 res but the processor doesn't do 1080p? It seems odd for a fancy new TV like this to exclude 1080p though.
