Apparently I have not....did not think to search as this is the first time I have seen the crap in like 10 years. Is it still readily available in the states?

Yeh you can get it in the states. Most higher end grocers or international grocers have it.

My gf's mother makes Nutella chocolate chip cookies which taste pretty fabulous, but other than the cookies, I don't care for the stuff.
 
That stuff is amazing, it'll be the first thing I look for at breakfast next time I'm in Europe. I suppose I could just buy some here, but that takes the novelty out of it.
 
Kobe Bryant was an endorser of the stuff before his sex scandal ... don't know if he still is or not. I love the stuff though.

I concur, I just tried this stuff for the first time. Then I saw who makes it and it clicked that it does taste like those Rocher candies they also make. Good stuff.
