Ok I was opening my computer to check something. As I put things back together i noticed I had no sound. I then turned off the m3d and suddenly my sound began to work but on my back speakers only. I noticed the one of my front speakers were disconncted so I went on to connect and I began hearing loud static noises. I was scared to sI turned it off. What can be the problem??

Don't work on your computer while its up and running for starters. Maybe you just partially pulled the connector for the volume control away from the sub, check your connections.

Try plugging them into another source first, like a walkman, to isolate whether the problem is at the speakers or the computer. Then step it through stage by stage, checking each connection, until you isolate the problem.

Odds are you have a loose connection somewhere. Just be methodical in your diagnostic procedures and it should be simple to figure out what is wrong.

Please remember not to crank the sound way up while you are testing-or you really will end up with a set of dead speakers.

Well I noticed as I put back my computer the connection of my front left speaker was disconnected. I decided to connect it back but as I tired playing music it did not work. Instead I got static which I have never heard of from my beautiful speakers. For some reason I think the wires is what the problem is, thats why I'm going to go to Radio Shack or Fryz to get new speaker wires. I read somwhere that the stock wires that came with the speakers were cheap and therefore can cause some problems. I'll go buy some and I'll fill you guys in to see what happens.

As per the manual, don't work on the connections when the speakers are on. Good idea on the speaker wire, get some banana plugs for the satellites while you're at it :)

Which side of the wires were disconnected BTW? If it was on the amp side (back of subwoofer) with the spring terminals, try tugging the wires just a bit after insterting the bare wires and letting the levers go. This causes the spring terminal to "bite" the wire a bit and will make a slightly more solid connection. If they slip out when tugged on, the springs might be weakened and they may need replacement.
