For all you GTA people, Krispy Kreme is now OPEN at the corner of Mavis Rd. and Matheson Blvd in Mississauga.

It's the first one in Canada. My friend went there this morning and they sold 80,000 donuts yesterday. What kind of donut do you recommend I get?

The original glazed are really the only good ones IMHO.

The rest are just tooo sugary.

Now all you need is Sam's warehouse (to buy bulk food cheaply) and you Canadians can be as fat as us Americans.

I dunno what Krispy Kreme is...but are they significantly better than Tim Horton's?
Enough to be excited that that they came here?

I know that all the "best" coffees I've tasted from the US haven't come close to Tim Horton's...

Krispy Kreme is like the inverse of Tim Hortons. At KK, it's all about the HOT, FRESH donuts. Mmmmmmmmmm.

Tim Horton's is all about the coffee guys. It's some of the best java going. Their doughnuts are irrelavant.

I agree....the original glazed are the best. I got some of the other flavors (chocolate) the other day and it was too sweet..plus, it costs more....

I'm at Winston Churchill at Aquitaine (south of the 401). About 8 km away, but there's still at least 3 Tim Horton's closer - probably more. Can't shake 'em. We were driving by and contemplated trying them last night, but the combined willpower of my wife and I held out - for now.

Edit - 6 closer at least. Scary. 36 Tim's in Mississauga. 59 in Hamilton. 27 in Moncton. Krispy Kreme is entering a crowded market.

I give Krispy Kremes the biggest thumbs down in the world. If you take one of there small, tiny, whimpy, skinny ass, weak doughnuts and put them up against a nice BIG fluffy doughtnut from any local family owned place here in california its a clear loss for Krispy Kremes. Now dont get me wrong its not about the taste, any HOT doughnut taste as good as Krispy Kremes does, and you dont have to put up with 20 fricking cars in a drivethrough at 3 o-clock in the afternoon. So if you ask WaTaGuMp the doughnut expert " self aclaimed expert of course" Krispy Kremes are not that good. And why do they have 20 cars with people in them getting doughnuts at that time anyhow?:Q

Isn't Tim Horton's = Wendy's? If so, then it's crap.

Aside from Italy ... Seattle and Portland have some of THE BEST COFFEE in the world.

I have always suspected TH's coffee to contain addictive substances other than caffine.
