I guess I was generalizing far too much. I did NOT mean that all young people cheat on each other sexually. I meant that all young people make mistakes and bad decisions and often hurt other people's feelings. You read it in threads here all the time. Someone calling their gf/bf by an ex's name or not studying for a final exam or getting plastered and sleeping with Sasquatch. That's part of growing up, making mistakes and using bad judgement, and most people learn from their mistakes. What she did was the MOTHER of all fvckups and he had the terrible luck of being with her when she did it. Not his fault, he just has to deal with all the hurt. What she did was certainly not something forgivable in my estimation.
