I got a degree in computer science 3 years ago and finally landed a real development job. The company is small, laid back, and growing. The other devs are my age and intelligent. It's the complete opposite of my current tech support job. I've been waiting for this day for like, a decade. Drinks are on me. :D

Congrats! I really hope my search for a good CS job isn't that long...

I'm hoping that good grades + good school + coop and other work experience = good job. Guess it still depends on the job market in 4+ years...

It's nice to get into a small startup. There's risks, but the potential rewards are awesome. Think stock options!

Yes. To all those currently in school, get a coop or internship. Many places look for professional experience.

good job! i landed my first one after 3 months of surfing :p and started this past september. so far so good!

i'm currently software engineering at Nemetschek working on the Landmark side of Vectorworks. very laid back here as well and great benefits, including a paid week off between xmas eve and jan 3rd :)

where the frick do i find you sorta people at? I've been posting on job boards, monster, etc and all i get is these damn indian and french doods trying to "outsource".
I've been looking all over for someone like you...outta college with a CS degree and looking to start at a small company thats growing. I'm having to resort to hiring interns to do your job instead which sux cause these kids dont wanna do jack and earn a ton for it these days.
If your having trouble looking for a job help me (and probobly others too) out here and tell me where to look for you guys????

maybe contact a college that graduates cs majors????
