omfg, how the hell do i do one simple graph i excel 2007?

its seriously the easiest line graph in the world....volume (y axis) temp (x axis), yet it formats it in two lines, and i have no idea how to make one simple fucking line. i want 2003 back again!!

can anyone please help me before i go nuts?
 
it works if i select scatter plot, but it gives me two lines if i want a line graph...and i dont want a scatter plot
