omfg - COMCAST is going freaking crazy!?

I'm sitting here watching my network bandwidth meter. I'm dl'ing the Tribes1 and Tribes2 downloads from fileplanet now that they're free. I've got two BitTorrents going, too. This is the only PC that's currently connected to the router/internet. My cable cap is 3mbps, but my network bandwidth meter is reporting that I'm downloading 7.1mbps and uploading at 2mbps! :Q This has been going on for the past couple of minutes...

I'm going to try getting in a DSL reports test before this thing dies...

That is insane, i heard that Comcast recently updated their entire network across the whole ISP and now has one of the best performing (non fiber) networks in the world.

Pretty normal here.

Your download speed : 3215394 bps, or 3140 kbps.
A 392.5 KB/sec transfer rate.

You have to make sure that your bandwidth meter is really only reading the external network bandwidth. Some of them can be kinda weird.

I like DU Meter for this reason.

The meter usually tops off just above 3mbps, which is what my cable cap is. I'm not transfering between PCs (the other PC currently does not have a NIC). This has GOT to be some sort of software reporting malfunction...
